The course began relatively slowly, and picked up pace toward the end. The homeworks reflect this. The main course textbook was Bernard Schutz' A First Course in General Relativity and a few of the homework problems came from the text. While I'm a firm believer of making a serious attempt of figuring something yourself first, sometimes the solutions really help to understand things better. I have requested access to the solutions from the publisher of "A first course in general relativity" by Schutz but was denied on the basis that I'm not employed with a university.

It is essential to complete at least most of the many exercises, which are carefully designed to ensure you really have understood the preceding material, which is complete but often very concise.
